Some El Paso area schools will receive decommissioned police vehicles from the El Paso Police Department. The cars will be used for law enforcement training programs and will offer students a chance to gain exposure to "real-world" scenarios. El Paso City Council District 7 Rep. Henry Rivera passed the item at City Council last month.

The owners of the Elixir Lounge sponsored their second annual golf tournament in October.  Their first annual tournament  last year benefited Bob Miller Middle School and raised over $2000.  This year they wanted to benefit the HPOA Charitable Foundation!  It was a great time and a good day of golf. The city will make its case to El Pasoans today for a more than $400 million upgrade to the police and fire departments.
